In the 1980’s a doctor at the Philippine General Hospital saw the need to establish a mini campus on the hospital grounds devoted to providing an education to the children and teenagers who wanted to go school despite being diagnosed with very serious conditions. Almost 30 years later, the Silahis ng Kalusugan continues to offer Department of Education accredited schooling at both grade school and high school levels for the young patients at PGH.

At SnK, young people not only learn about crafts, history, science and math–they also get to bond with each other and share lots of happy moments together.
